Neat and The Arbor Day Foundation Partner for a Greener Future
August 13th, 2011 by Neat
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the average office worker in the United States uses 10,000 sheets of copy paper each year…that’s a massive amount of paper! Since we’re in the business of reducing paper clutter, we are constantly encouraging our customers to convert their paper documents into a digital format. When information is digitized, stored, and secured in one safe location, those pesky mountains of paper can be cleared (and recycled)!
In addition to spreading the word about adopting a paperless lifestyle, we combined forces with the Arbor Day Foundation this past April to help reforest our nation’s woodlands. For every free “Taming the Paper Monster” e-book that was downloaded, a donation for the planting of new trees was made. Additionally, the Arbor Day Foundation donated a free tree for every customer that purchased a product from Neat during Earth Week.
I would like to thank everyone that participated in the campaign. With your help, Neat and the Arbor Day Foundation planted over 10,000 trees in Marquette State Forrest in Michigan.
Until next time, keep it neat…and green!
