Support the Corporate Accounting Manager with the monthly financial statement close and reporting process for all areas other than revenue recognition and retail accounting. Ensure the accurate, complete and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Ensure activity/balances for assigned accounts/areas are recorded in conformity with Company policy and U.S. GAAP.
Assist in the development and/or enhancement of policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporate accounting function and organization.
Provide guidance and suggest improvements to the Company’s accounting processes where improvements to process quality or scalability could be achieved.
Assist in the maintenance of key financial systems including Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and FRx.
Collaborate with various functional departments as appropriate.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Required Education, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
4-6 years of relevant corporate accounting experience in a high growth organization. Software industry or subscription billing experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently and productively in a dynamic environment, as well as being a solutions-oriented team player.
Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy to understand format.
Advanced system skills (Great Plains, FRx, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, etc.). Ability to utilize and manage data warehouses.
