May 2026

May has a way of moving fast.

The year no longer feels new, summer is around the corner, and the day-to-day work of running a business keeps stacking up.

That makes this a good time to pause and ask:

Is your financial workflow keeping up with your business?

This month, we’re highlighting updates that help make everyday organization easier, from faster invoicing setup to better receipt tracking and more visibility on mobile.

How to Track Business Expenses for Small Businesses

Most small business owners do not struggle because they lack financial information. They struggle because that information is scattered everywhere.

Receipts live in pockets and inboxes. Transactions go uncategorized. Important documents get buried until someone needs them urgently.

That is usually when expense tracking turns into stress.

The best expense tracking systems are not necessarily the most complex. They are the easiest to maintain consistently.

A simple process can make a major difference:

      • Capture expenses when they happen
      • Keep receipts connected to transactions
      • Categorize expenses consistently
      • Review records regularly instead of once a year

Small habits prevent large cleanup projects later.

Modern expense tracking tools can also reduce manual work by helping businesses centralize receipts, invoices, transactions, and reports into one searchable system.

The result is not just cleaner books. It is better visibility into where money is going and more confidence in the financial side of the business.

        Create a Routine

If organizing receipts and expenses feels overwhelming, stop trying to “catch up” all at once.

Instead, create a 10-minute weekly review habit.

        Use that time to:

        • Capture new receipts
        • Review uncategorized transactions
        • Check for missing documents
        • Organize invoices and expenses
