Shop small. Have a big impact.

November 29th, 2019Small Business Resources

Small Business Saturday is a holiday shopping tradition where we come together and support our communities and small businesses. When these businesses succeed communities thrive. A great way to support local creators and entrepreneurs is to shop local this weekend, and share your experience. For small businesses, social media is a powerful tool. Holiday shopping in your town? Check in on Facebook. Find a great gift? Post it on Instagram. Score a great deal? Send a tweet. It’s an easy way to generate buzz for the vendor and share your experience.

As a small business that has been dedicated to supporting small business owners for over 15 years, we love to see small businesses grow and local communities thrive. Did you know, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community. All those cents really do add up. And over the past nine years, shoppers have spent more than $100 billion on Small Business Saturdays nationwide, according to the 2019 Shop Small Consumer Impact survey.

Whether you are shopping for family, friends, or yourself, local vendors offer unique gifts for everyone. This year, take a stroll down Main Street and join the movement. For more information on Small Business Saturday, and to see what vendors in your community participate, click here
